Shahrzad Jahan (b.1995, Birjand, Iran) is a painter, image-based artist and curator based between Tehran and Toronto. Her work explores themes of transformation, perception, and ephemerality. She endeavours to capture fleeting events such as the momentary scattering of light, shifting of reflections, and the swaying of fire in layered, dreamlike compositions.
Through painting and curation, Jahan seeks to create perceptions where the world flickers, shifts, and reveals something otherwise invisible.
